SPURS MARCH INTO THE SEMIFINALS

Tottenham Hotspur booked their place in the semi-finals of the Carling Cup after a 2-0 away win over Manchester City. Jermaine Defoe gave the visitors the lead after just five minutes, but Spurs were soon down to ten men after Didier Zokora was sent off. Tottenham held out for more than an hour and Steed Malbranque added a second goal late to seal a well deserved victory.Tottenham must now hope to add this silverware in this campaign.
