Berbatov stars in United WIn

New recruit Dimitar Berbatov scored a brace to help Manchester United to a 3-0 victory over Danish club Aalborg in their Group E match in the Champions League. The Bulgarian scored his first goals for the club striking twice in the second half after Wayne Rooney put the Red Devils ahead in the 22nd minute. Rooney was then forced off with an ankle problem while Paul Scholes suffered a major injury on his knee that could keep him out of action for eight weeks. The win ends the club’s poor start to the season and manager Alex Ferguson can now breathe a sigh of relief following their disappointing stale mate with Villareal.
