Medtronic Recall
Medtronics have now removed the five Sprint Fidelis defibrillation leads from the market after the five patients who suffered deaths were linked to this.Medtronic recall said that the sprint leads can fracture and and the defibrillation leads may have been a contributing factor in the deaths.A fracture in the lead can cause shocks to the person's heart or not operate at all.Medtronics had introduced the sprint fidelis leads in 2004 to replace the sprint quattro leads. The notion was that the small size of the sprint leads would be a passage enough into the venomous body but the defects began to emerge very soon afterwards. It was found that the failure rate of the fidelis model was nearly ten times greater than the failure rate of the quattro model.Medtronics recalled the leads from the worldwide market saying that the sprint leads have a propensity to cause fracture in the leads and hence needs to be withdrawn as they cause patient deaths.Patients who have been using these leads can contact the physicians immedieately or can have a free consultation at this website. If you are using these leads just visit here.
