JAYASURIYA CONTRACTS WITH WARWICKSHIRE

Hard hitting batter Sanath Jayasuriya has been signed by Warwickshire on a short term basis.Sri Lankan veteran Sanath Jayasuriya has signed up to play for Warwickshire in the English counties' Twenty20 competition next year, the county announced on Friday.

The 38-year-old announced his retirement from Test cricket earlier this month but plans to continue playing for Sri Lanka in one-day internationals.

Ashley Giles, the former England bowler who is now director of cricket at Warwickshire, hailed the signing of Jaysuriya as a coup for the county.This is a huge boost for the Warwickshire team in general.
