Darren Maddy has signed a new 3 year contract which will keep him at Warwickshire CCC until the end of the 2010 season. Darren has also been appointed as Captain for the 2008 season.
Director of Cricket, Ashley Giles, commented, “Darren has been such an asset to the Club since joining last season it is great to secure his services for the next 3 years. He is a professional who leads by example which is why he has been handed the Captaincy for the second year running. He has vast experience in the game and I am looking forward to working closely with him next year.”
Darren is delighted to commit himself to the Bears, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Club and to be offered the Captaincy two years running is a real honour. I will be in charge of a young team and I am looking forward to rebuilding in 2008 with Ashley and the coaching team.”
Tim Ambrose has returned from India and signed an extension to his contract which keeps him with the Club until the end of the 2010 season.This is a nice news for the Warwickshire county.
