MESSI STEERS BARCELONA TO A WIN

Lionel Messi rose to the occasion yesterday night in the Champions league round of 16 clash against Celtic at the Glasgow.He scored 2 goals in their 3-2 victory and also ensured that they go into their second leg at Nou Camp almost assured of a path to quarter finals.Jan Venegoor of Hesslink opened the scoring spree in this game only for Messi to equalize a couple of minutes later.Debutant Barry Robson's looping header past the goal keeper ensured that Celtic lead at half time by 2-1.Thierry Henry equalized for Barca after the second half.In the 79th minute Messi struck a curling shot past the hapless goalkeeper.Celtic would be disappointed for allowing a goal late after withstanding their tremendous onslaught.
