Nadal to rest

Newly crowned Wimbledon men’s singles champion Rafael Nadal will miss the Stuttgart Cup due to a knee injury after his medical team urged him to rest. The Spaniard required treatment on his knee during his 4-hour 48 minutes marathon victory over world number one Roger Federer in the Wimbledon final on Sunday. The four-time French Open winner had injured his knee in his third-round win over Mikhail Youzhny and won’t be able to defend the title he won in Stuttgart last year.
