French Duo Lilian Thuram and Claude Makelele have announced their retirement from international football after France’s exit from Euro 2008. Thuram is France's record-caps holder after playing 142 times for les Bleus. The 36 year old was also a part of the team that won the World Cup in 1998 and the Euro in 2000. Makelele has represented France in 71 games. The midfielder had also intended to retire after the World Cup in 2006.
