GIBBS RECALLED AGAIN

Herschelle Gibbs and his fans now have a reason to smile.South Africa opener Herschelle Gibbs has been recalled to the squad as one of two changes made by the selectors for the third Test against the West Indies.

Gibbs, who bagged a pair in the first Test and has been struggling for form, was dropped in favour of Neil McKenzie for the second match, which the Proteas won by seven wickets to square the series.

But McKenzie injured his hamstring in the game and is likely to be out of action for four to six weeks, prompting the selectors to turn back to Gibbs.

Also recalled was Monde Zondeki, who took six wickets in the first innings for South Africa A in their 10-wicket demolition of West Indies last month.

Speedster Dale Steyn, who took eight wickets in Cape Town, is also struggling with injury, and may miss the third Test which starts on Wednesday in Durban.

Shaun Pollock could be recalled to the side if Steyn is ruled out.

South Africa squad: Graeme Smith (captain), Herschelle Gibbs, Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis, Ashwell Prince, AB de Villiers, Mark Boucher, Paul Harris, Andre Nel, Dale Steyn, Makhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock, Monde Zondeki.
