The Australians lodged a complaint against Harbhajan Singh for allegedly calling all-rounder Andrew Symonds a "monkey" during the second Test in Sydney last week.
Inzamam said: "I have played a large part of my cricket against the Aussies. Sometimes they said some nasty stuff, sometimes we did and then we moved on.
"We did not behave like cry-babies and drag it to the officials. They do it constantly and much more than anyone else. So how they can go out and complain about other teams?"
The 37-year-old batsman believes Asian players always get a raw deal when they are in a dispute with the Australians.
"The Asian players have faced the curse of racism for the last several years," he said.
"In fact they are treated very harshly whenever there is a row between them and the Australians."
The Australians' complaint against Harbhajan led to a three-Test ban for the India off-spinner, which has since been challenged.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have threatened to halt the tour if the 27-year-old is not exonerated.
Inzamam reckons the BCCI have done the right thing by making a stand.
"The BCCI has taken the right step by lodging their protest with the International Cricket Council and suspending the tour," he told the Daily Times.

I agree with Inzy that Aussies are really cry-baby. They do the slazing all the time but when others are doing it with them then they complained about it.
